ABOUT THIS SITE

Our organization (AMES) runs a "Train the Trainers" program designed to help educators in B.C. Canada develop anti-discrimination education. A common frustration expressed by the educators is they faced many “superiors” and colleagues with a general lack of will when it came to tackling these issues with any real depth or conviction.

The teachers felt they would be immensely supported in their work if they could easily access information about new resources, get some up-to-date lesson plans and share information about teaching techniques for effective anti-discrimination education.

Thus were the seeds for Resources for Change planted.

The continued flourishing of this site depends on people like you sharing information and ideas about things that have inspired you or your students to engage with these issues with enthusiastic commitment.

ABOUT US

This site is brought to you by the Access to Media Education Society (AMES). It grew out of Peer Perspectives, a youth-driven, video-based educational series that takes fresh approaches to long-standing social problems.
